The Cyrenians' Addiction Service is based within our Emergency Access Accommodation at Elliott House. The aim of the service is to offer specialist support in relation to addiction to drugs and alcohol to those who live at the service. The Addiction Service works as part of the overall treatment system in Newcastle and supports those who live at Elliott House in accessing all aspects of the treatment system through referrals to appropriate services.
The Addiction staff work in partnership with Housing Support staff at Elliott House to enable service users to progress through their treatment journey whilst maintaining their accommodation.
The Addiction Staff work to meet service user needs, offering one to one support sessions, peer based group sessions and structured activities which aim to raise the hopes and aspirations of those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction and instil within them the belief that recovery is a real possibility.
