The Cyrenians has a number of projects which promote semi-independent living. Each enables service users to experience independent living in a shared environment with minimum support.
This is part of the journey back to living independently and re-entering the community through supported resettlement activities.
These projects are not staffed overnight; therefore service users have more responsibility for the environment in which they live. Cooking skills are developed as meals are not provided. Each service user continues to work with their allocated key worker on their support plan.
Service users are encouraged to take up training and education opportunities both within the organisation and externally and to develop budgeting and pre-tenancy training.
