Karen is a strategic communications specialist establishing her business, Karen Gray Limited, in 1996 through which she works with both public and private sector clients. Her early career was spent in the engineering sector prior to both management and consultancy roles at international accountants, Deloitte and Coopers & Lybrand.
As a specialist communications advisor and media and presentation skills trainer she has worked with a number of significant international, national and regional organisations. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and the Institute of Personnel, Training and Development.
Karen also leads a team which delivers employability skills training to young people. She is Joint Chairman of the Academy for Chief Executives in the North East, a Trustee of the Esh Charitable Trust, a visiting lecturer at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and a Trustee of the Union Society, University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
