Volunteer Opportunities at the ThriftBoutique
The ThriftBoutique is a new style of charity shop which seeks to offer a different shopping experience to that of traditional charity shops. Thriftboutique is about style, value for money and quality.
Many of the people who work in the ThriftBoutique are volunteers. If you are interesting in clothing and fashion and would like to volunteer your time to work in the ThriftBoutiqe we can offer you a pleasant working environment and membership of an enthusiastic team. We offer a very flexible volunteering arrangements which can suit your needs. No previous experience is needed as full training will be provided.
Main Purpose of Role
Support the manager in the running of the ThriftBotuique selling quality second hand clothing donated by the public, through preparing stock for sale, customer service and till work. If you are interested in being part of a dynamic team, learning/developing new skills/retail experience, meeting new people, helping to support the work of The Cyrenians and are interested in fashion or clothing why not apply to become a volunteer. Tasks include
- Accepting donations
- Sorting, pricing, sizing, ticketing and steaming stock
- Welcoming and serving customers, till work and sales
- Shop floor display/window dressing
