Chefs Turn Out For Charity Event

DABBAWAL, Newcastle’s Indian street food kitchen, is bringing its unique dishes to a charity open day in the city this weekend.

Dabbawal staff will be cooking at The Cyrenians Elliott House open day in the west end of Newcastle on Saturday, noon until 2pm.

Elliott House is an innovative residential recovery, therapy and training centre which combines a unique array of accommodation, addiction services and facilities in support of vulnerable and previously homeless people, as they progress from lives of chaos to stability through recovery, training and employment.

Dabbawal owner Jo Nessa said:

“It’s a real privilege to support The Cyrenians and Halal food will be freshly prepared and served by our Head Chef and team. They are planning some fantastic dishes straight from the Indian sub-continent’s streets and markets.”

Local residents, councillors, police and other interested parties are invited to visit the recently refurbished project and meet the staff team at Elliott House on Saturday, where there will be food, music and entertainment for all the family.
