The work that The Cyrenians is carrying out in connection with employability and training is part of a new trend within the sector.
We have learnt important lessons about properly preparing people for employment, working with employers, and the need to provide support once in employment. These have been integrated into the design of the Brighter Future Training Centre, and the success of this model has informed its expansion and replication in all other projects. We are setting new standards in this arena.
Our work in employing service users is pioneering and not without its challenges. As an organisation we are acutely aware of the need to monitor and learn from our experiences. To this end, we commissioned pieces of research.
